June 14, Arashiyama Monkey Park

While we both fixated on the sophomoric humor of the line we are pointing at, we should have heeded the fourth line: both of us were "attacked" by monkeys that didn't like it when we looked at them a little too much.
Does this several weeks old monkey count as a monkey on your back?  He's called "Momo" by the way. (we asked.)
We are inspired by our visit to ask about the government's position on animal rights.  We have not been hearing good things...
