Nagasaki

Alex cradles ubiquitous symbol of Nagasaki.  Affectionately dubbed, "Butter Boy".


Men of hats stand together at the Glover Garden.  The gentleman on the right is Captain Walker, Thomas Glover's partner in establishing Japan's first soft drink company, producing "bonzai lemonade", eventually leading to Kirin Brewery.


Contemplating Nagasaki Bay from the Glover Garden in the Dutch quarter of Nagasaki.  The Dutch wrested favored status as foreigners from the Portuguese in the late 16th C.  


Steve gets a pat on the head from Kitamura Seibo's "Peace Statue", described by one critic as a policeman directing traffic.

    and butter boy looks like a peeps type marshmellow thingy.
